• Q. What about spiders? Do you consider them a major problem?
A. Actually, we do not consider spiders a serious pest. The brown recluse and black widow spiders are an exception to this rule. Although generally feared and disliked, most spiders found in and around the home are harmless. They can be controlled effectively by vacuuming, not spraying. Spiders can be very beneficial to the environment.
• Q. How toxic or dangerous are the materials you use?
A. We use chemicals according to the label directions, i.e. quantity, strength and application method. Using minimal amounts for effective results creates the smallest amount of exposure to people and pets and creates low impact on the environment. We emphasize exterior prevention.
• Q. How does exterior prevention work to control bugs?
A. The application of a general purpose spray to the building exterior and ground perimeter and the use of a general- purpose insect-bait using a spreader stops the bugs before they enter the house. Attached garages are treated as well.
• Q. Do I have to sign a contract that obligates me to a long-term service?
A. No. We will call to remind you when it is time for another application. You decide if you want us to come and treat your property.
• Q. What is Pre-Occupancy Treatment and how does it work?
A. Before moving in to a home or during construction of a new home we have better access to your property to control pests. During construction of your new home we can treat wall and cabinet voids and plumbing areas prior to these areas being sealed off. Pre-Occupancy Treatment is the safest way to get the pests removed before you move in to your home. .
